No game-like challenges at all, which is a good thing.. Really didn't enjoy this. It's basically a movie that you watch sentence by sentence. That's not an enjoyable way to watch a movie. It's not particularly clever, the storyline isn't smart either. I pretty much got it in half an hour. Because you can find anything, right from the word go, if you search the wrong word, you can finish the game, such as it is, almost immediately. The rest is just nuances.It's a shame, because it's a decent concept and the acting isn't too bad. I got this in a sale and I still feel ripped off.. Oh, yet some of these videos are not even 10 seconds long. What was the point of those specific videos? I'm well aware that you have to pay attention to what the character says in order for you to search up more keywords that will give you access to more new videos. However, to only see 5 vids at a time is \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665t. Thank god for that after game cheat code where if you type ADMIN_UNLOCK in the keyword search, you'll gain the ability to view 15 videos at a time (which actually is a lot better not gonna lie). Unfortunately, this game is merely one with a great story that terribly went to waste. Bottom line at the top: Its an FMV game so its automatically going to be an unconventional game but this one is especially so. It probably won't be for everyone but if your a fan of FMV or mystery games in general I'd say def check this one out!Pros---------------------------------------------Unique "game" (more on this later) experience. -It's FMV so it has a nostalgia factor for me.-I liked the actress.-Intriguing story that makes you want to uncover more.Meh.---------------------------------------------It's debatable as to how much this is actually a "game". There is no real conclusion or climax to the story. Your left to form your own opinion as to what really happened and if you look online you'll see there is a lot of debate among those who played. -I think it was hard to follow the story line at times just because of how much jumping around between clips there can be. -Currently $6 for 4.5 hours of game play. Not bad but I prefer a better ratio. Cons---------------------------------------------Can't score all achievements without winning a meaningless mini-game.-It felt like this concept could have been taken further. -Some clips are so short or obtuse that the only way most people will find all of them is to use a walkthrough, which I did for the last few. Even with a walkthrough the process involves literally typing every word on the list. Overall this ends up just being frustrating as you want to know what all the clips are and get all the achievements after spending so much time investigating the clips. -Currently $6 for 4.5 hours of game play. Not bad but I prefer a better ratio. This reminded me a lot of Stories Untold (another great game experience you should def check out!). I've played many good and bad FMV's and I'd put this on the good-er part of the spectrum. Overall I recommend it just for its uniqueness and story. I picked it up on sale for a lot cheaper so if your planning on giving this a try I would recommend looking for a sale. v1.11 (20th Novemeber) Hotfix: This is just a small patch to fix some bugs.Changelog: Fixed broken sound file for German version (Level 19) Fixed broken level file (Level 22) Easy Resolution Change: There is now a checkbox in the launcher, where you can overwrite your game resolution. This will overwrite the saved resolution with the maximum for your screen. This is useful when sharing a profile over multiple computers with different screen resolutions. Gameplay, Cybotic costs cap now at 30 (not 25). Bugfix of the Virus (CUR Special Ability). It now also lasts until the end of game. Pressing some keys on the menu screen no longer cause an error message.. v1.13 (18th December): Changelog: 3 additional maps reworked, namely "desertofruins", "fahadacluster" and "krexmountains". Ruxilla Upgrades rebalanced. First upgrades are now much stronger, but you cannot upgrade a unit above level 25. Mercoss Tower has now a regeneration of ("Population in the tower" / 10) per second. (Also the Ixir AI should now sometimes build portals. There was code for it before, but I never actually saw the AI doing it.) Ruxilla Carrier adjusted. (HP increased by ~70% and damage output increased by ~125%. He is also a bit more expensive than before ~35%) Zyr Regenerator is now a bit cheaper ~15%. Ixir Heavy Drone HP increased by ~25%. AI Performance. (The AI now requires slightly less CPU power). You can now open the menu in the tutorials and quit the tutorials. Fixed glitch for campaign level selection, where you could start levels you did not have unlocked yet. You no longer gain no XP when you cheated in another game before the one you are currently playing. In campaign level 27 players now actually start with a base. Fixed a bug, where you or the AI could build units/structures outside of the map. Removed the "windy" sound effects from the game. Now the game only plays music and no "environment" sounds in between songs.
